TAMPA (Oct. 22, 2015)—The USF women's soccer team wraps up the regular season, traveling to instate rival UCF Friday, Oct. 23. Kickoff between the two teams is slated for 7 p.m. A win over UCF guarantees that the Bulls will be at least the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.

The Bulls are coming off yet another undefeated weekend that saw them shut out Houston and SMU on the road. Leticia Skeete netted two goals in a 2-0 win over Houston to push her season goal total to five. Yaya Martinez scored her first career goal against SMU to help give the Bulls another 2-0 win on the weekend. With the shutouts, keeper Kat Elliott now has eight on the year, tying her for first in the conference.

Olivia Chance leads the Bulls with 24 points (eight goals, eight assits) on the season. Ocean Parr, Trudi Carter and Skeete all have five goals on the season, while three others have at least two goals. In goal, Elliott has 60 saves on the year and a .51 goals against average.

As a team, the Bulls have recorded 32 goals and are outscoring opponents 32-9. USF is holding opponents to just nine shots per game and just .53 goals scored per game. The Bulls are 13-2-2 on the season with a 6-1-1 conference record and a 7-2-1 road record. The Bulls have been shutout just twice this season, once in a 0-0 draw against No. 8 Clemson and once in a 1-0 loss at Cincinnati.

SCOUTING UCF
The Knights are 10-5-1 on the season with a 5-3-0 conference record. At home, UCF is 6-2-0. UCF got off to a slow start in conference play, dropping three of its first four games to then No. 20 UConn, East Carolina and Cincinnati. The Knights have allowed at least one goal in all but one conference game.

Leading the Knights is Carol Rodrigues with 24 points (10 goals, four assists) and Ashley Spivey with 20 points (nine goals, two assists). In goal, Vera Varis has a 9-4-1 record with two shutouts and 51 saves for a 1.53 goals against average.

ALL TIME SERIES
The Knights leads the all-time series 9-1-1 and have won nine of the last ten meetings, including a 3-0 victory in Tampa last season. The Bulls only win came in 1998 as USF topped the Knights 4-0 at home.

NOTES

·         For the first time since 2013, the Bulls finished with an undefeated home record, going 6-0-1. In that time, they outscored opponents 18-2 at Corbett Stadium.

·         The Bulls are just two wins away from tying the program record for wins in a season (15).

·         Olivia Chance leads the Bulls with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points on the year. Chance needs just three goals to pass her total from 2014.

·         The Bulls' 7-1-1 non-conference record is the best non-conference record since 1998 and is the best in the Denise Schilte-Brown era.

·         Ten different players have scored at least one goal this season with five recording multiple goals. Nine players have recorded at least one assist and six players have recorded a goal and an assist.

·         The Bulls are 1-1-1 against ranked opponents this season after defeating No. 20 UConn.

UP NEXT
The Bulls will learn their fate for the conference tournament at the conclusion on Sunday's games. The tournament begins on Tuesday, Nov. 3, in Dallas on the campus of SMU.
