TAMPA - Brigid Merenda is ready to serve USF women's basketball in a new role.
USF has announced that Merenda, formerly Smith, has joined the broadcast team as an analyst for all of the Bulls' home games this season. All games will be broadcast on WHFS 1010-AM with Alex Perlman handling play-by-play duties for the second straight season.
"Brigid will bring a wealth of knowledge about the women's game to our listeners," Perlman said. "Her passion for USF really shines through and I'm looking forward to sharing the mic with her for what should be an exciting run."
Merenda, a 1997 USF graduate, played for the Bulls from 1993-97 and has worked for the Trenam Kemker law firm since 2000. She's remained an active USF contributor, serving as an alumni representative on the Bulls' athletic council along with being a member of the USF Bulls Club board of directors.
