TAMPA – The University of South Florida outdoor track and field team will send 18 student-athletes to compete in 20 events at the 2013 NCAA East Preliminary Rounds which will take place May 23-25 at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, N.C. This is the second straight year that the Bulls have had at least 19 entries at the preliminary meet.

USF's qualifiers had to rank in the top 48 nationally in their respective events. The Bulls will have to finish in the top 12 of each event to advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championship June 5-8 at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Highlighting USF's qualifiers are six Bulls who won BIG EAST titles at the league championship earlier this month where the women finished third and the men finished fourth.
