TAMPA – USF's Demi Stokes will be spending part of her summer competing on the world stage.
The senior forward was one of only 26 players selected to the England Under-23 Camp that takes place June 21-27 and features tests against Sweden and Norway.
Stokes, from South Shields, England, already has accomplished quite a bit while playing for her native country. She helped England win the Under-19 European Championship in 2009 and returned with the squad to the title match a year later. Stokes also represented her country at the 2010 Under-20 World Cup.
Stokes has been super productive in her first two seasons at USF, tying for the team lead with four goals in 2011 along with leading the Bulls in assists (4) and points (12). She added three more goals to her total last season while starting in each of USF's 19 games.
