Box Score STATESBORO, Ga. (Sept. 11, 2016)— The USF women's soccer team took their winning ways on the road and picked up a shutout victory over Georgia Southern Sunday afternoon. With goals from freshmen Gudrun Sigurdardottir and Evelyne Viens, the Bulls topped the Eagles, 2-0, to improve to 7-0 on the season.
USF scored both goals in the first half and the defense held on to keep the Eagles off the board in the second half to preserve the shutout. This is the fifth shutout of the season for USF and the fourth in a row.
In the 24th minute, Sigurdardottir netted her first career goal on an assist from Viens. After running the ball down the left side of the field, Viens crossed the ball to Sigurdardottir who scored from five yards out.
Three minutes later, Viens would record a goal of her own after battling through the Eagles' defense to sink a goal from 12 yards out.
In goal, Kat Elliott recorded four saves for her second shutout of the weekend.

The Bulls also return 10 players who appeared in at least 15 or more games last season.
