FORT WORTH, Texas (April 10, 2017) – The USF men’s tennis team fought hard after dropping the first set on all courts, but couldn’t get ahead as the No. 9 Horned Frogs took straight-set wins on courts two, five and six.

Senior Sasha Gozun and junior Peter Bertran battled to a third set against two nationally ranked players. No. 48 Gozun was hanging tough with the No. 3 singles player in the country, Cameron Norrie, and No. 105 Bertran was beginning a third set with No. 111 Jerry Lopez when the match was clinched.

In doubles, Bertran and Roberts fell to the No. 23 tandem in the country, but No. 68 duo Gozun and Alberto Barroso-Campos would answer with a 6-4 upset win over No. 47 Jerry Lopez and Reese Stalder on court one. It wouldn’t be enough as TCU clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win on court three over Vadym Kalyuzhnyy and Jakub Wojcik.
