Flexsenhar Helps Bulls Place 4th at NC State

RALEIGH, N.C., APRIL 15, 2017 – Freshman Kyle Flexsenhar helped boost the Bulls up three spots to fourth place in the final round of the Wolfpack Spring Open on Saturday.
Flexsenhar (Lake Mary, Fla.) collected his second straight under-par round with a 70 and tied for 13th place at 2-under in his best finish yet as a Bull. USF (-2) posted the second-lowest round of the day (1-under 283) and finished its final regular season event behind only No. 19 Duke (-3), No. 15 Clemson (-18) and champion NC State (-31).
Junior Priyanshu Singh (Delhi, India) secured his second straight top-25 finish by carding a 70 in consecutive days to tie for 16th at 1-under. Senior Rigel Fernandes (Bradenton, Fla.) tied for 25th at 1-over after shooting a 68 on Friday.
Head coach Steve Bradley on the team’s final round:
“It was a good day for the guys today, posting the second-lowest round of the day. I’m so proud of Kyle and the way he stepped in and led the team. He’s grown so much throughout the year. Priyanshu also played well and had a solid event. Now we have six days to get ready for conference.”
- USF has placed in the top 10 in nine of 10 events this season. The Bulls have four top-five finishes and a title victory to their credit.
USF shoots for a three-peat at the American Athletic Conference April 23-25 in Palm Harbor, Fla.
