TAMPA (April 23, 2017) – Celebrating the careers of seniors Kassie Moeller, Kristen Wyckoff and Susan Wysocki, the USF softball team earned a 4-2 win over Memphis to sweep the series for a Senior Day win.
In the first inning, USF sent nine batters to the plate, notching four runs on five hits. The Bulls loaded the bases with no outs on an error, and pair of hits, before Bethaney Keen and Lauren Evans each drove in a run.
A passed ball and an RBI single from Morgan Gross would plate another pair of runs as the Bulls jumped out to the early lead.
Memphis would get one back in the second on a solo home run from Tyler Johnson. In the fifth, a two-out error would lead to another Tiger run, cutting the Bulls lead in half.

-Bethaney Keen went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI to lead the Bulls offensively.
-The Bulls allowed just one free base all week, walking one Tiger, while striking out six.
-Six Bulls had at least one hit for the game.

-The Bulls have now swept Memphis the last two seasons.
-The Bulls outscored the Tigers 14-5 over the weekend.
-Cheyenne Eggens earned her third save of the season, tossing 2.1 innings of one-hit ball.

The Bulls will wrap up their home slate with a Thursday night doubleheader against FGCU. The Bulls and Eagles will square off on April 27, beginning at 5 p.m.
