TAMPA (May 16, 2017) – After working a total of 258 community service hours, the USF women's tennis team received the ITA Community Service Award for the Southeast region.

The Bulls hosted post-match clinics, and contributed to events around the Tampa Bay area such as Feed Tampa Bay, Stampede of Service, the Paralympics and more.

With her full academic and tennis schedule, senior Hailey Grillo was able to lead the team with an impressive 41 hours of community service.

“I am very proud of my team for finding time in their extremely busy schedules to give back to our local community,” said head coach Cristina Moros. “Part of the culture of our program is to be grateful for the opportunities that we have and in turn give back and be positive role models to our peers and our community. It is an honor to get recognized by the ITA for their contributions in community service.”
