TAMPA - USF gets another shot at Villanova 3 p.m. Saturday when the programs clash at The Pavilion in Philadelphia.
The Bulls are looking to snap a five-game league losing streak and bounce back from a 70-47 home loss to No. 24 Marquette on Wednesday night.
"We know how the league is, there are no reprieves here," USF head coach Stan Heath said. "You face a ranked team in Marquette and then we have to go to Villanova. You've got to pick up the pieces, put that behind us and play a team that continues to get better and better."
The Wildcats (14-9, 5-5) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 94-71 win over DePaul on Tuesday and they defeated USF, 61-53, in the programs' first meeting of the season Jan. 9 at the Sun Dome.
Heath knows the Bulls have to turn the page quickly in order to get back on track for the Big East stretch run that continues 9 p.m. Wednesday at home against Providence. Both of USF's games on Saturday and Wednesday will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
"If you carry that loss into the next game, the league is very unforgiving," Heath said. "Nobody cares, nobody feels sorry for you. They come right at you like Marquette did to us."
After Providence, USF's Sun Dome stay continues Sunday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. against Louisville. Purchase tickets for the remainder of the Bulls' home games HERE.
