TAMPA - Starting defensive tackle Luke Sager was one of 20 Bulls named to the 2012 Big East All-Academic Team on Thursday.
To be nominated, a player had to post a cumulative grade-point index of at least 3.0 and completed at least two semesters of academic work.
The honor for Sager comes a day after he was named an American Eagle Outfitters Big East Scholar-Athlete. The award includes a $2,000 scholarship for Sager to use for his graduate studies in entrepreneurship in applied technologies.
