TAMPA - USF senior Chris Norton made the Big East Honor Roll after making a lot of noise with his bat on opening weekend.
The catcher/DH went 6-for-10 with a double, two RBIs and scored three runs as USF went 1-2 at the Big East-Big Ten Baseball Challenge. Norton shined in the Bulls' 20-2 win over Purdue on Saturday when he went 4-for-5 with two RBIs.
USF gets an early look at top in-state competition during a three-game series at Florida State this weekend. Action begins with a single game 4 p.m. Friday on in Tallahassee.
