TAMPA – Lawrence Pardo has made the Big East Weekly Honor Roll after providing the Bulls with solid relief in their series sweep of St. John’s over the weekend.
The junior left-hander earned a win and a save in four shutout innings while allowing three hits in two appearances. Pardo struck out three batters in three innings of USF’s 4-3 win in 10 innings Friday night after taking over in the seventh.
The first-place Bulls were in a jam in the ninth inning of Sunday’s 4-2 win when Pardo ended the game by getting Sean O’Hare to ground into a double play.
Pardo is 5-1 with two saves and a 2.02 ERA in 35 innings heading into USF’s home game against Bethune-Cookman 7 p.m. Tuesday.
