Two Bulls Named WGCA All-American Scholars

By TOM ZEBOLD

USF Senior Writer

TAMPA – USF’s Anna Hancock and Karli Heimbecker have been rewarded for their hard work on the golf course and in the classroom.

Both Bulls have earned spots on the 2012-13 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team that was announced earlier this month. Student-athletes had to post a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 to be eligible for the honor.

Hancock, a senior, turned in two top-25 finishes last season with a 77.3 average in nine tournaments. Heimbecker, a recent graduate, competed in six tournaments for the Bulls last season and posted her best finish at the Big East Championships when she placed in a tie for 26th place.
