Paras joins USF Athletics after serving as project manager for Hunt Construction for four years. He will oversee the day-to-day operations for maintenance, house-keeping and grounds for all athletics facilities and will also assist Associate Director of Athletics Scott Glaser on various capital projects.

Paras graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in building construction and has since worked on several successful projects in the Tampa area. As the project manager for Hunt Construction Group, Paras worked side-by-side with USF on the renovations to the soccer and track and field complex.

After joining Hunt Construction in 2005, Paras managed many successful construction projects on the USF campus including the Stavros New Building and Old Education Renovation.

He brings to USF a vast knowledge of turf management. Paras is a certified general contractor and associated builder contractor.  He brings to USF 12 years of experience in the field, as well as an extended network in the construction industry.

“With his construction background, knowledge and expertise he will be a tremendous asset to USF,” said Glaser.  “As this program moves forward with capital projects, Chris will be a great resource in to day-to-day management of projects.  It is also a bonus that he is familiar with USF and is immediately ready to jump into the job.”
