Summer 2009: One of 17 players invited to the 2009 USA Basketball World University Games Team training camp, June 16-24 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., to compete for the 12 roster spots... One of 25 college players who worked as a counselor at the Adidas Nations camp in Dallas, where top players from around the world competed.

2008-09:  Played in all 31 games on the year, starting 30... Did not start 12/16 Vanderbilt game because of a sore left ankle but did play... Has played in all 62 games of his career, starting 61... Led the team in scoring at 18.1 per game, good for seventh in the BIG EAST... Upped his scoring average to 19.0 an outing in BIG EAST play, fourth best in the league... Also led the Bulls in rebounding at 5.6 a game and steals at 1.3 per game, and was second in assists at 3.9 an outing... Was named BIG EAST Honorable Mention for the second consecutive season... Ended season with 561 points, seventh best on USF single-season list... Had 121 free throw's made on the year, ninth on the USF single-season chart... Scored in double figures in 27 of his 31 games on the year, inlcuding his final 20 of the season... Also went for 20 or more points 12 times and 30 or more four times... With his first point on 2/25 at Seton Hall, a free throw, at the 17:10 mark of the first half, Jones became just the 16th player in USF history to score 1,000 career points... He is the second fastest Bull to reach 1,000 and one of only three USF players to do it in two seasons... Jones also became the quickest sophomore to reach 1,000... He reached 1,000 in his 58th career game... Only Tony Grier reached 1,000 career points in fewer games... Grier, who spent one season at Polk Community College before coming to USF, surpassed 1,000 in his 51st career game during his junior season... 2007-08:
Had arguably the best season of any freshman in USF history... Earned All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention accolades and was a unanimous selection on the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team after averaging a team high 17.1 points per game... His 17.1 points per game ranked 7th in the BIG EAST... Jumped his points per game average to 18.2 in conference play, the best of any league freshman and 3rd best in the conference... Also pulled down 4.6 rebounds per game, second best on the team, and a team high 1.3 steals per game... Was only Bull to start all 31 games on the year... Shared the John & Cynthia Ruzic USF Most Valuable Player award with Kentrell Gransberry... Also earned the Wittcoff Family Endowed Scholarship, which will permanently represent the University’s competitive spirit and commitment to excellence in NCAA Division I basketball... Scored in double figures in 28 of 31 games, had 20 or more points in 10 games and 3 games over 30 points... Is USF's third All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention selection and the first Bull named to the All-Rookie team in the school’s three years in the conference... His 31 points vs. Seton Hall were career high and the highest scored by a BIG EAST freshman this year... Jones' three 30-plus point games are already tied for fourth on the USF all-time career list and he was the only USF player to play all 40 minutes in a game during the season, doing it five times... Shattered the USF freshman scoring mark by tallying 531 points on the year... The previous freshman record was 455 set by B.B. Waldon during the 1998-99 season... Was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week for FIU and UCF performances... Notched his second straight 30-point game in 12/5 win at Richmond and also pulled down 14 rebounds for his first career double-double and first double digit rebound game... Tallied game-high 25 points and 6 rebounds in 12/8 UAB win... Was named the Sporting News National Player of the Week and BIG EAST Rookie of the Week for second consecutive week for Richmond and UAB games... Tied for team high in points with 14 at Wake 12/19...
