TAMPA --
With 30-plus NFL scouts and coaches looking on, the two players with the most to gain at USF Pro Day turned in impressive results in the weight room and on the field Friday.

Ben Moffitt, who did not run the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine becaues of a tweaked hamstring, ran 4.55 and 4.62 in the 40 yard dash.  He began to impress the scouts in the wieght room where he dramatically increased his results in the vertical and broad jump.  Moffitt was credited with a 9'9" broad jump and 32.5 vertical in Indianapolis.  On Friday he improved both by five inches to 10'4" and 37.5.  Both efforts were the the top marks of the day.  Moffitt did not do any additional testing after the 40.

Trae Williams came in hoping to drop his 40 time from the 4.53 he posted on Feb. 26.  Friday he ran a 4.48 on his first attempt and a 4.53 in his second attempt. Both marks were the best of the day.  He also improved his leaping numbers in the vertical, where the Plant City native went from 29 inches to 33.

Cornerback Mike Jenkins, who many project as the top corner in the draft, did not participate in the testing portion of the day.  He decided to let his NFL Combine 40 time of 4.38 stand. The Bradenton native did work in position drills alongside Trae Williams and former Bull Sam Miller, who worked out as a safety.  The NFL scouts in attendance openly commented on Williams' hands and that they graded out well at the NFL Combine. He flashed those skills, only dropping one pass on the day.  Jenkins also only had one drop.

Eight other draft eligible seniors worked out. Defensive tackle Richard Clebert benched 225 pounds 38 times.  He set the USF record by doing 43 reps in the fall.

USF Assistant Athletics Director Ronnie McKeefery and his strength staff organized all the events and was impressed by the turn out.

"When I started here, I had to beg you guys to come out for our Pro Day," said McKeefery to the scouts in attendance. "It's a sign of how this program has grown and the hard work of these players that all of you are out here today."

Below are all the complete testing results for  the participants.  The 10 and 20 numbers indicate their fastest splits at 10-yards and 20-yards through the 40 timing.  DNP indicates that the player chose not to participate.
