TAMPA – Bulls Frenzy II is set for Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Sun Dome for the USF-Cincinnati football game. Not only is Bulls Frenzy II a free watch party for the nationally televised football game, it will feature two events in one and include participation from the 2008-2009 men’s and women’s basketball teams throughout the game.

The Sun Dome will open at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, with kickoff set for approximately 7:45 p.m., for the ESPN nationally televised game in Cincinnati. In addition to watching the game, the event will feature the introduction of the men’s and women’s teams, interactive games on the basketball court with both teams and students, free t-shirts and other giveaways.

The event is open to students and the general public. Students will use Entry 1 and the general public will go through Entry 3. Concessions will be available. No outside food or drinks are permitted.

“We are extremely excited to be hosting this event for the second consecutive year,” said Ayo Taylor-Dixon, Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Event Management. “Basketball season is here and both teams are working very hard preparing for their upcoming seasons and we want to take this opportunity to allow students, faculty and staff, alumni and the Tampa Bay community to get up close and personal with both our men’s and women’s basketball teams while watching our Bulls take on Louisville on national television.”

The men open the regular season at home vs. SMU on Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. The exhibition schedule is highlighted by an intra-city matchup with the University of Tampa on Monday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. Prior to facing Tampa, the Bulls kick off the 2008-09 season with an exhibition game against the University of West Florida on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.

The women will open the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 15, when they face Central Connecticut in the first round of the USF Shootout. Harvard and Loyola (Md.) will meet in the second game of the day. They kick off the season with an exhibition on Saturday, Nov. 1, when it butts heads with the Miami Sun. It will close out the preseason on Wednesday, Nov. 5, against DT3.
