The University of South Florida men's soccer team kicks BIG EAST Conference Tournament play on Thursday, Nov. 5 when Marquette visits Tampa ... Complete BIG EAST bracket on page 13 ... USF also begins its defense of its 2008 conference tournament title ... Kick off at the USF Soccer Stadium is slated for 7:30 p.m. ... The Bulls and Golden Eagles will be carried live on WMNF 88.5 FM HD 2 and WXBL 1620AM with veteran soccer announcer - and former voice of the Tampa Bay Rowdies (NASL) and Tampa Bay Mutiny (MLS) - Jim Henderson calling all the action ... In addition, fans can follow the action via the world wide web by logging onto GoUSFBulls.com and selecting the BullsVision Premium option for live audio and video streaming ... Thursday's winner will hit the road to face Notre Dame on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament ... USF comes into Thursday's match ranked in the top-10 in four of the five recognized Division I men's soccer Top 25 polls that were released this week ... TopDrawerSoccer.com has the Bulls ranked No. 6 in the nation while both College Soccer News and Soccer Times has them at No. 8 ... Soccer America and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America have them ranked No. 9 and No. 13 respectively ...  USF is coming off tough 2-1 double-overtime loss at Rutgers on Oct. 31 ... Hasani Sinclair tied the game for the Bulls in the 79th minute before the Scarlet Knights got the game winner in the 101st minute of play ... The loss snapped USF's five-game winning streak and six-game unbeaten streak ... On the year, Hasani Sinclair (5-2) leads the team in scoring for USF with 12 points while Bernardo Anor is right behind in second with 11 points (5-1). Javed Mohammed is third with 10 points (1-8) ... Jeff Attinella, the Bulls mainstay between the pipes, has played every minute of the regular season this year - a total of 1,583:25 - and has recorded 88 saves and seven shutouts. He also has posted a 0.68 goals against average and a .890 save percentage. 

USF In The BIG EAST Tournament
USF comes into Thursday's match with a 5-3-1 all-time record in BIG EAST Tournament contest's ... The Bulls recorded a 2-0 record last season en route to the tournament title ... USF defeated Notre Dame in the semifinals, 2-1, on Nov. 14 before handing St. John's a 1-0 overtime setback in the title game on Nov. 16. 

Scouting Marquette
The Golden Eagles finished the regular season 4-10-3 on the year and 3-5-3 in the BIG EAST they arrive in Tampa after playing its final regular season game of the year at Connecticut on Nov. 2 ... The Huskies handed Marquette a 3-0 loss in what was a make up from a postponed match on Oct. 28 due to inclement weather.

Chris Madsen leads Marquette in scoring with nine points (4-1) ... Calum Mallace (3-0) and Amiclar Herrera (2-1) are the only two other players on the Golden Eagles' roster that have scored better than five points with six and five respectively.

Matt Pyzdrowski has played 15 games in goal for Marquette posting a 4-7-3 record. He owns a 1.13 goals against average and a .754 save percentage on the year .... Keenan Fleck got the start for the Golden Eagles on Monday and David Check came in to play the second half ... Fleck and Check made two and one save, respectively, in the loss.

The Series vs. The Golden Eagles
USF holds a 8-5-1 record over Marquette in it's 14 games prior to Thursday, and have outscored the Golden Eagles 25-18 in the series.

This will be only the third meeting between the two schools since both joined the BIG EAST Conference ... Prior to this season they last met on Sept. 10, 2006 in Milwaukee, Wis. with the Bulls pulling out a 2-1 win ... USF is 3-3-1 against Marquette at home.

USF and Marquette played to a 1-1 double overtime tie earlier this season on Sept. 18 in Tampa ... The Bulls' Bernardo Anor would score his second goal of the season in the 29th minute off an assist from Jorge Mora to give USF a 1-0 lead ... The Golden Eagles would tie the game up in the 56th minute on a goal by Adam Lysac - which as of the end of the regular season is Lysac's only goal of the year - on a rebound off the post following a shot by Herrera.

Home Sweet Home
USF extended its home unbeaten streak to 28 games with its 1-0 win over DePaul on Oct. 24 ... The Bulls are 24-0-4 in their last 28 games at the USF Soccer Stadium and have not lost on their home turf since Sept. 20, 2007 against Connecticut (2-1) ... The current streak is the longest such streak in the nation and tied for eighth longest all-time in Division I.
