Bulls Close Out 2009 Fall Season In Tallahassee

Tampa- The University of South Florida women's tennis team will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Tallahassee to take part in the Seminole Invitational on Nov. 6-8.

"A lot of the top teams will be competing in the Seminole Invitational this weekend so this is going to be another good test for the team," USF head coach Agustin Moreno said. "We play in one of the toughest regions in the nation and many of the players in our region are highly ranked."

Freshman Ecaterina Vasenina, junior Natalia Guevara, junior Irene Rehberger, senior Allyn Mueller, senior Jessica Zok, and senior Melissa Koning will be the six players representing the Bulls this weekend.

A number of teams will be competing at the invitational including Miami, Florida State, North Carolina State, Alabama, Florida International and Central Florida.

"This will be one last great opportunity for the girls to compete and try to improve their singles and doubles rankings before the end of the fall season," Moreno said. "I am excited to see how the girls perform this weekend."

The Seminole Invitational closes out the 2009 fall season for the Bulls. The Bulls will open up their spring season on Jan. 15-17 when they travel to Fort Myers to take part in the FGCU Classic.
