USF is 0-7 all-time against Seton Hall, dropping the last meeting 68-54 in the first round of the BIG EAST Conference Tournament on March 10, 2009. The first-ever meeting was Jan. 20, 2006, a 94-89 overtime loss for the Bulls in New Jersey.

USF: Head coach Stan Heath is in his 23rd season of coaching, ninth as a head coach and third at USF. He has posted a 145-125 overall record and is 33-48 at USF. Heath has made three NCAA appearances (2002-Kent State, 2006 and 2007- Arkansas) in his eight-year career. Seton Hall: Bobby Gonzalez is 59-52 in four seasons at Seton Hall and 188-129 overall after spending seven years at Manhattan College, where he was named the MAAC Coach of the Year.

TAMPA - USF looks to win back-to-back BIG EAST games for the first time in school history when the Bulls match up against Seton Hall on Jan. 28 in Tampa.
USF (12-7, 2-5) enters the game on a winning note after defeating Providence 109-105 in overtime on Jan. 23 in Rhode Island. Seton Hall (12-6, 3-4) comes into Tampa on a two-game winning streak after topping No. 9 Pittsburgh (Jan. 24) and Louisville (Jan. 21).
JONES EYEING 1500 CAREER POINTS
Junior guard Dominique Jones finished the game at Providence (1/23) with 46 tallies to give him 1,491 career points, one of only six players to accomplish the feat. Up next on the all-time list is No. 5 Chucky Atkins, who had 1,619 points during his career. Check page nine of the notes for the rest of the school records that Jones is eyeing.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
The Bulls are happy to play back-to-back games at home this week since USF is shooting better from the field (45.7-44.6%), from long range (33.6-26.0%) and at the line (68.1-66.9%) than on the road. USF TOPS OPPONENTS IN REBOUND MARGIN
Despite having only two true forwards, USF has grabbed more rebounds than its opponent in three straight games, and in four of the last five outings. USF outrebounded PC, who was leading the league in offensive rebounds (42.0 rpg), 40-36 on Jan. 23.
USF edged Cincinnati in the rebounding battle, 32-31, on Jan. 20 in Ohio. Cincinnati came into that game leading the league in the category, outrebounding opponents by 7.9 per game.
JONES LISTED IN NATIONAL STATS CATEGORIES
Junior guard Dominique Jones is 17th in the country with his 21.0 points per game according to NCAA stats through Jan. 24.
BULLS IN THE BIG EAST TOP 15
In the BIG EAST, Dominique Jones is third in scoring (21.0 ppg) and steals (2.0 spg), eighth in assists (4.4 apg), 11th in defensive rebounds (5.0 rpg), 15th in three-point field goals made (1.8 pg) and second in minutes played (35.9 mpg).
Senior Chris Howard is eighth in assist/turnover ratio (2.0) and fifth in minutes per game with 35.1 minutes.
Junior Jarrid Famous is ninth in total rebounds (7.8 rpg), sixth in offensive rebounds (2.7 rpg) and 10th in defensive rebounds (5.1 rpg).
JONES EXPLODES IN BIG EAST PLAY
After scoring just five points in 24 minutes in the Bulls’ first BIG EAST game of the year against Louisville, junior guard Dominique Jones has exploded onto the scene in the past six games, averaging 28.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 38.3 minutes. He recorded three-straight games of at least 26 points before hitting Providence for 46 on Jan. 23. In these six games, he shot 50.9 percent overall, 32.4 from long range and 76.9 at the line.

- USF is outshooting SHU 45.1-44.9 percent from the field and 67.4-66.2 percent at the line.
- USF has never earned back-to-back BIG EAST wins.
