Skip Holtz says TAMPA -- Since the end of recruiting, new USF football head coach Skip Holtz has hit the pavement and met with a boatload of media members, local organizations, boosters, supporters and even found time to take in a few sporting events.

Here's a recap of his busy schedule since the end of recruiting (Feb. 3) and a glimpse at some of the upcoming events on his schedule.

Tuesday, Feb. 9 - Returned to Tampa after visiting family and packing up belongings in Greenville, N.C.

Wednesday, Feb. 10 - Met with editorial staff of the Tampa Tribune and held five hours of player meetings.

Thursday, Feb. 11 - Met with DV Sport, endured an hour-long photo shoot for USF Football advertising campaign, held walk-on tryouts and announced "Let's Play Hockey," prior to the Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Boston Bruins game.

Friday, Feb. 12 - Met with the staff of WFLA TV sports department and continued staff meetings.

Saturday, Feb. 13 - Undisturbed family time.

Sunday, Feb. 14 - Took entire football staff and support staff to the Daytona 500 in a stretch limo where they tailgated in the infield and enjoyed some bonding time. Also found time to do interviews with Mike Bianchi, John Romano and Joey Goodman, among several media members covering the event.

Monday, Feb. 15 - Got up nice and early to visit Dan Sileo and the 970 WFLA morning crew at the Clear Channel Studios in South Tampa. Worked with team during winter workouts and had lunch with a select group of donors.

Tuesday, Feb. 16 - Worked in the office all morning before joining the Brandon Rotary Club for lunch. Also met with the Athletics Partnership Board and spent some on-air time with Rob Stone during the men's basketball game. After the ESPNU interview, Coach Holtz took in the USF vs. Cincinnati men's basketball game with Pam and Les Muma.

Wednesday, Feb. 17 - A quiet day and great opportunity to work with the football staff in the office. Took some time to talk USF football vs. Florida with Steve Russell on WRUF in Gainesville.

Thursday, Feb. 18 - Went back down to the South Tampa and the Clear Channel Studios for the drive time hour with Steve Duemig and then raced through traffic to attend the USF Baseball and Softball Leadoff Banquet.

Friday, Feb. 19 - Meeting with Student Leadership group and going on live with the Fabulous Sports Babe on ESPN 1040 AM at 1:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 20 - Hosting USF football alums at the USF vs. St. John's men's basketball game at Noon Eastern.

Sunday, Feb. 21 - Undisturbed family time.

Monday, Feb. 22 - Live in studio with 1010 AM Morning Show hosts Jim Lighthall and Mike Pepper from 7:20 a.m. until 8:20 a.m.

Tuesday, Feb, 23 - Meeting with columnists and editors from the St. Petersburg Times and meet with Under Armour.

Wednesday, Feb. 24 - Attending the ISP/Bulls Club private luncheon at MainSail Conference Center.

Thursday, Feb. 25 - In studio radio show with JP Peterson on 1010 CBS Sports at 5 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 26 - TV appearance on Fox 13 Morning Show during the 7 o'clock hour and attending a USF women's soccer fundraiser.

Saturday, Feb. 27 - Attending the men's basketball game vs. Providence at 7 p.m.
