About Us
Mission
The Bulls Varsity Club encourages past participants of USF Athletics to be lifelong members of the Bulls family. We strive to strengthen the bond between USF Athletics alumni, the University, and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The Bulls Varsity Club endeavors to provide its members with opportunities to foster and maintain relationships across several sports and generations. These relationships will help to create a culture whereby those who have competed under the Bulls Banner will remain engaged and feel a sense of ownership in USF Athletics.
Teamwork
A team player is one who works in a coordinated effort with other members of a group, or team, in striving for a common goal. Today there is no business or organization that does not talk about the need and value of teamwork in the workplace. As a member of the USF Athletics family you know what teamwork is all about. From running in a relay to making the winning touchdown catch, it was all done in the faith of teamwork. As a member of the Bulls Varsity Club you can help to keep your teams of the past together while ensuring the teams of tomorrow a place to call home.
Tradition
Since starting in 1956 as a small school independent to being a member of the BIG EAST Conference, it has been an amazing ride. As of today, thousands of student-athletes have represented the Bulls on the fields and courts across America helping to advance a proud tradition. When we reflect on the time spent with our USF Athletic family, we realize that the bonds of camaraderie created through sport are strong. These traditional bonds are important to keep developing. The Varsity Club helps to foster camaraderie by hosting sponsored team reunions and social functions. Let us build a tradition that helps us to celebrate our past.
Pride
As a former Bull athlete, you generated a sense of pride and enthusiasm among the Alumni, the University as a whole, and the community. Successful athletics programs bolster this sense of pride in the University body and community. As a part of the team, you can directly influence USF's athletic programs through a 100 percent tax deductible gift to the sport of your choice. By giving, you will be making a direct and positive impact on student-athletes who represent the University of South Florida with pride. The Bulls Varsity Club is all about maintaining and building on the passion and pride of being a Bull.
Membership and Benefits
To be eligible for membership in the Bulls Varsity Club you must meet the eligibility requirements below. However, to receive all of the benefits of being a member of the Varsity Club, you must pay your yearly dues or be a first year graduate. (A) All persons who have been awarded a Varsity letter by the University of South Florida and who did not participate in an NCAA-recognized sport for another institution after their final year of competition at the University of South Florida.
(B) All athletes who participated in at least one full year of a varsity sport at the University of South Florida and who did not participate in an NCAA-recognized sport for another institution after their final year of competition at the University of South Florida.
(C) All persons who participated as a coach, cheerleader, dance team member, mascot, manager, or trainer in support of University of South Florida varsity sports for at least one full year, and who did not participate in similar activities at another institution after their participation at USF.
(D) Exceptions-Athletes whose sport was terminated at the University of South Florida while the athlete had remaining eligibility.
