University of South Florida OT Jacob Sims was named to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, the organization has announced. The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play, who each maintained a 3.2 GPA or better throughout their entire course of undergraduate study.

Sims was a four-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic team and twice received recognition on the College of Business Dean's List. He earned his degree in business management in December of 2010 with a 3.56 GPA.

Sims played in 48 games, starting 32, along the offensive line for USF. After redshirting in 2006 and working primarily on special teams as a redshirt freshman in 2007, Sims moved into the starting lineup as a sophomore and became a mainstay for the Bulls' front. All 32 of his starts came over his final three years and he finished by starting all 13 games during his senior campaign, when he earned second-team All-BIG EAST honors.
