TAMPA- The University of South Florida women’s soccer team was picked to finish fourth in the American division of the BIG EAST by league coaches, the conference announced Tuesday.
The Bulls, who finished third in 2010, advanced to the BIG EAST Conference Tournament final last season before advancing to their first NCAA Tournament in program history.
USF senior forward Chelsea Klotz was named to the 2011 All-BIG EAST Preseason Team after leading the 2010 squad with 11 goals on the year.
The Bulls were picked to finish behind West Virginia, who won the conference tournament in 2010, Marquette, who won the American Division a season ago and Connecticut.
The team kicks off the regular season August 19 at UCF before opening their brand-new stadium at home on Aug. 26 against Indiana.
