Bulls Start Action-Packed Week at Home

TAMPA - The Bulls will get a big boost in what is going to be crazy week on the tennis courts.

Head coach Agustin Moreno's women's team plays four matches in five days starting with Wednesday's 2 p.m. match against Boston College at the USF Varsity Courts. The Bulls stay at home to face Miami (Ohio) 2 p.m. Thursday before playing at Georgetown on Sunday and Maryland on Sunday.

The Bulls had their three-match winning streak snapped last week with losses to Texas A&M and Rice in Texas. USF's loss to Rice came by only a 4-3 margin and Moreno feels good about things with the Bulls getting a chance to host an opponent.

"Coming back home gives you that little edge," he said. "If we fight the same we did against Rice, I believe we can win this match."

USF was ranked No. 26 last week by the ITA, while Boston College was No. 37 and Moreno said a victory Wednesday would work wonders for the Bulls' mindset.

"It's very important for us to have a win so our confidence comes back. I think we're ready for that," he said.

All of the Bulls' home matches at the USF Varsity Courts are free for fans to come out and watch.
