TAMPA - Every match is important for the red-hot and nationally ranked Bulls.
The No. 34 USF women's tennis team starts its run for a fifth straight victory at noon on Wednesday when it hosts a University of Denver team that has head coach Agustin Moreno's full attention.
"I think the parity in college tennis has been improved the last few years," he said. "Even though the University of Denver is not ranked it's going to be a tough match. They are a well-coached team, have everything to win and nothing to lose. They are going to come after us and we know it."
It's certainly been tough to beat the Bulls lately with only Georgetown being able to reach a third point during USF's winning streak.
"I think we've been tournament-fit," said Moreno after USF went 4-0 last week. "We are ready for anything."
USF is 11-5 this spring and the thing that has stood out to Moreno is his team's close bond through the solid string of success.
"We have a lot of respect for each other - coaches and players - and I think we are all on the same page of fighting everyone," he said. "We are a fighting team."
Wednesday's match at the USF Varsity Courts is free for fans.
