Chris Hovan is entering his second year with the USF Strength and Conditioning staff. Hovan joined USF after he completed an 11-year career in the NFL, where he had stops in Minnesota, Tampa Bay and St. Louis. Hovan is a 2000 graduate of Boston College, where he was a consensus football All-American and first-round draft pick in the 2000 NFL Draft (Minnesota Vikings).
During his first year with USF, Hovan interned with the football program, and assisted with 14 other sports as well. His current role is Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, working directly with the football program. Hovan is currently certified under USAW Weightlifting.
