TAMPA - USF fans have a chance to catch a Major League Baseball game at a discounted price and show off some school spirit in the process this weekend.
The fifth annual USF Night With the Rays is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Saturday when the Tampa Bay Rays host the Baltimore Orioles at Tropicana Field. The game will start off in USF fashion when former Bulls defensive back Anthony Henry throws out the first pitch. Henry was a part of USF's first football team and went on to play nine seasons in the NFL before becoming a part of the USF Athletics Hall of Fame.
A portion of each ticket sold goes to the USF Alumni Association and Bulls fans have a number of choices for ticket packages. Lower reserved seats are available for $35 and ticket buyers will receive a Rays/USF hat by showing their ticket stub at the group sales hat table behind section 108 at the game. Outfield seats cost $18 and upper reserved seats are $12. To order individual tickets, go to www.raysbaseball.com/usfnight and enter the password USF.
Fans have a chance to save additional money and upgrade their seats by purchasing a group package that includes a scoreboard welcome and the limited edition Rays/USF hat. You must purchase 20 or more tickets to qualify. Contact Tom Breslin at 727-825-3396 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your seats or to get more information on the event.
