TAMPA - Plenty of in-state rivals and tough opponents pack the USF women's basketball team's 2012-13 non-conference schedule.
The Bulls kick their regular season in style inside the newly renovated Sun Dome with a test against Stetson on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. The game is the first of USF's five in-state meetings this season. The Bulls will host North Florida (Dec. 1), Florida Gulf Coast (Dec. 5), Florida A&M (Dec. 29) and travel to Jacksonville (Dec. 8).
USF hits the road for its second game of the season Tuesday, Nov. 13 against Clemson, a talented ACC opponent, in South Carolina. The Bulls' other non-conference road games are at UNC-Asheville (Nov. 28), and against Nevada-Reno and Creighton (Dec. 21-22) at the Caribbean Classic in Cancun, Mexico.
The Bulls' other non-conference home games are against Nebraska (Dec. 16) and Detroit Mercy (Dec. 31). Catch all of USF's home games by purchasing season tickets HERE or by calling 1-800-GoBulls.
"We are excited about of non-conference schedule and some of the tests that we will face before we begin conference play. It is important that we challenge ourselves in the non-conference portion," USF head coach Jose Fernandez said. "It is an exciting season to be a Bull as we open the new Sun Dome and we bring in so many talented teams to play us in our new home."
