Hill Anxious to See What USF Is Made Of

TAMPA - New head coach Matt Hill and the USF men's tennis team started practice on Wednesday with just two days before the Bulls face top competition.
"It's perfect," Hill said.
Usually a small amount of prep times can worry a coach, but Hill is anxious to see how his players can perform in tough situations on the court. Hill gets just what he wants when USF competes at the Bedford Cup, hosted by the University of Florida, starting Friday in Gainesville.
"It's exactly what we need. It's a good tournament," he said. "They'll bump into some guys that are playing for a top-10 team. It will be great to see how they handle that pressure."
Hill said USF will use all eight of its players, and a ton of the talent returns from a Bulls squad that made the Big East tournament final last season. Juan Carlos Acuna Gerard and Lucas Marin-Salcedo are back for their senior year, along with junior Federico Sabogal, and sophomores Oliver Pramming, Ravi Patel and Guillermo De Vilchez.
Two new members on the team are Everth Dzib, a freshman that has junior world experience out of Mexico, and Joao Souza from Brazil.
