TAMPA - Ecaterina Vasenina just keeps on going against elite competition.

USF's senior was one of six qualifiers to win in the first round of the main singles draw at the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Vasenina defeated NC State's Joelle Kissell, 6-3, 7-5, on Thursday and faces USC's Danielle Lao, the eighth seed, on Friday afternoon.

Vasenina has now won four consecutive matches in college tennis' most prestigious event of the fall.
