TAMPA - Oliver Pramming's pro tournament run turned into a marathon.
USF's sophomore made it all the way to the final round of qualifying at the IMG Academy $10K Futures Tournament before falling to Jean-Yves Aubone, 6-4, 6-3, Monday morning in Bradenton.
"He should be proud of himself and take this forward into having a great spring season," assistant coach Brandon Wagner said.
Pramming registered three wins in three days to get to the final round of qualifying and played his final match against Aubone, a former top-10 player at FSU before he went pro.
"There are a lot of positives he can take from the tournament," Wagner said. "Getting a lot of wins under his belt here, he should go into the season with a lot of confidence and belief in the things we've been working on in practice. He's seeing results in these matches."
Find out where and when to watch Pramming and the USF men's tennis team this spring when the schedule is released later this week on GoUSFBulls.com.
