Bulls Start at No. 12 in National Rankings

TAMPA - USF will start its run towards a second straight Women's College World Series with a solid national ranking.

The Bulls debuted at No. 12 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 preseason poll that was released Tuesday. USF will start the season as the highest-ranked team in the state of Florida, ahead of No. 14 Florida and No. 25 Florida State.

Head coach Ken Eriksen's squad went 50-14 last season and made the program's first-ever trip to the Women's College World Series. The Bulls defeated Florida, UCF and FGCU in the Gainesville Regional before taking two from Hofstra on the final day of Super Regionals at USF softball stadium.

The Bulls begin their 2013 season at home on Friday, Feb. 8 when they take on Marshall at 2:30 p.m. Season tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-GoBulls or by clicking HERE.
