TAMPA - USF and St. John's both look to get back into the win column 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carnesseca Arena in Queens, N.Y.
The Bulls (10-15, 1-12) hung with No. 10 Louisville for a half before the Cardinals posted a 59-41 win Sunday afternoon at the Sun Dome. USF has lost eight consecutive games.
"We just keep battling, keep on fighting and stick with it," head coach Stan Heath said. "Winning makes you feel good and we have to find a way to win games."
St. John's (15-10, 7-6) dropped its second straight game Feb. 14 when it lost to Louisville, 72-58, in Kentucky. The Red Storm have lost three of their past four games.
A huge game from star point guard Anthony Collins could help him reaching a career milestone at USF. The sophomore is 13 assists away from tying Dominique Jones for 10th on USF's all-time list. Jones posted 328 assists from 2007-10.
Collins' 154 assists so far in 2012-13 already tie him for ninth on USF's single-season list. The Houston native needs just eight more assists surpass his total from last season that ranked him seventh in the Bulls' single-season history books.
USF stays on the road to face Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27 before returning to the Sun Dome to host DePaul at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 3.
