TAMPA - The No. 47 Bulls get to face off against Big East opponents at the site of the U.S. Open this weekend.
USF takes on Georgetown 11 a.m. Friday and St. John's 4 p.m. Saturday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
"It's a great setup that we have playing in New York," head coach Agustin Moreno said. "The girls are very excited and it's a wonderful opportunity that we have to play at that venue."
USF hasn't played since a loss to Florida State on Feb. 2 and the lengthy break has allowed the Bulls' lineup to get healthy. Moreno said top singles player Katie Vasenina (ankle) and Kayla Rizzolo (hip) are ready to go after missing time in past matches this spring.
"I finally have everybody healthy and we've trained really hard for two and a half weeks," Moreno said. "Our level has been raised and we've done everything possible to be in our best form for the rest of the season."
The Bulls return to the USF Varsity Courts on Wednesday, Feb. 27 to take on in-state rival UCF at 2 p.m.
