TAMPA - Luke Maglich and James Ramsay drove in runs but the Bulls didn't have enough offense to get past No. 9 FSU in Sunday's series finale.

Marcus Davis homered and DJ Stewart drove in three runs to help the Seminoles compete a sweep with 5-2 victory at Mike Martin Field inside Dick Howser Stadium. FSU (7-0) opened the series with a 14-3 win on Saturday and defeated USF, 8-0, in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader.

USF starter Jimmy Herget (0-1) kept the Seminoles scoreless for three innings and wound up taking the loss after giving up three runs (two earned) in 4 1/3 innings. The freshman right-hander from Tampa struck out four and walked two in the second-longest start by a Bull in the series.

Jimmy Falla went 2-for-3 while Anthony Diaz went 1-for-3 and scored a run for USF (1-5). Maglich got the Bulls on the scoreboard in the seventh inning when he hit into a fielder's choice that sent Ramsay home. Diaz led the eighth inning off with a bunt single and advanced to second on a throwing error. Ramsay drove Diaz in two batters later with a single to center field.

The Bulls stay on the road to face UCF on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in Orlando. USF's home schedule begins with a three-game series against Toledo that starts Friday at 7 p.m.
