TAMPA - The Bulls will get a double dose of tough competition this weekend in Tallahassee.
The No. 75 USF men's tennis team gets a look at one of the nation's elite when it faces No. 15 Texas on Saturday at 5 p.m. The Bulls finish up their weekend with a match against No. 44 Florida State on Sunday at noon.
"It's a good test for our guys. We're playing really well on the training court, so it will be interesting to see how well that carries over onto the match court," head coach Matt Hill said.
USF took a break from competition last weekend after winning twice during a three-match home stand. The Bulls edged North Florida, 4-3, on Feb. 8 and regrouped from a loss to Miami with a 4-3 victory over Florida A&M on Feb. 16.
"We got into some tough situations in those matches that will pay dividends down the road," Hill said. "Those matches made us tougher as a team and things are going in the right direction."
The Bulls return to the USF Varsity Courts to take on Pennsylvania on Friday, March 8 at 2 p.m. and South Alabama on Monday, March 11 at noon. Admission is free all regular season at the USF Varsity Courts.
