TAMPA - The USF women's tennis team extended its winning streak to four matches with a 6-1 victory at UNC-Wilmington on Friday afternoon.
Katie Vasenina and Loreto Alonso-Martinez got things started with a 9-7 doubles win. USF clinched the initial point of the match when Kayla Rizzolo and Danielle Mills outlasted Angie Sekely and Olga Blank, 9-8 (7-5).
The Bulls turned a close battle into a rout by getting straight-set singles victories from Vasenina, Alonso-Martinez, Mills, Rizzolo and Fanny Fracassi.
USF started its week with a 6-1 home victory over UCF to finish the month of February with a 3-1 record. The Bulls wrap up their two-match road trip 10 a.m. Sunday at VCU in Richmond, Va.
USF finishes its regular season with 10 consecutive home matches and action begins 2 p.m. Wednesday against NC State at the USF Varsity Courts.
