TAMPA - The Bulls rallied to an emotional series victory
over Toledo and now look to keep things rolling in the right direction in a midweek match-up.
USF starts a two-game series against Boston College 7 p.m.
Tuesday at USF baseball stadium. The Bulls (4-6) have won three of their past
four games and stayed on the winning track in dramatic fashion on Sunday.
Junior James Ramsay earned Big East Player of the Week
honors after hitting a three-run, walk-off triple that sent the Bulls past Toledo,
9-8. Ramsay's clutch hit capped off a six-run ninth inning and made USF's first
home series of the season a success.
"We have a great team. We have great confidence in our
abilities and we were successful at the end," said Ramsay, who went 6-for-14
with a homer and six RBIs in the series.
USF now shifts its attention to a Boston College club that
dropped two out of three against Georgia State last weekend in St. Petersburg.
The Bulls will send right-hander Mike Clarkson to the hill
for the series opener. The sophomore earned a win in the first start of his career
last Tuesday at UCF. Clarkson allowed one hit in four scoreless innings of a
6-4 win that gave the Bulls a ton of momentum heading into the Toledo series.
The Bulls stay at home for a three-game weekend series
against Valparaiso that begins 7 p.m. Friday.
