No. 46 Tulane Snaps USF's Five-Match Win Streak

TAMPA – Katie Vasenina and Loreto Alonso-Martinez posted singles wins in the Bulls’ 5-2 loss to No. 46 Tulane on Thursday afternoon at the USF Varsity Courts.

Tulane (13-6) has won three straight while No. 53 USF’s five-match winning streak came to an end.

Vasenina gave the Bulls a boost in the top singles spot when she defeated Klara Vyskocilova, 6-1, 6-4. Alonso-Martinez regrouped after dropping the second set to hand Jenny Hois a 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 loss.

USF continues its 10-match home stand 11 a.m. Saturday against Marquette. The Bulls are 4-0 against Big East opponents this season. Admission is free all regular season at the USF Varsity Courts.
