Bulls Continue Strong Weekend in Orlando

The USF women’s tennis team continued its strong performance, going 8-2 on day two of the Knights Invitational in Orlando.

The Bulls were once again perfect in doubles play Saturday, going 2-0 against FGCU before taking six of eight in singles play against UCF.

Senior Fanny Fracassi and partner Freshman Olaya Garrido continued their winning ways taking an 8-7 (6) win over Elizabeth and Sarah Means. Freshman Vera Bessonova and Olga Martinez also had a strong outing taking an 8-7 (2) win over Bettina Botha and Johanna Sterkel.

Garrido, Martinez, Fracassi, junior Alessandra Bonte and seniors Kayla Rizzolo and Loreto Alonso took their singles match, none going past the minimum two sets.

The Bulls will wrap up the tournament tomorrow when they face UCF in doubles play at 10 a.m. and FAU in singles play.
