TAMPA – The Bulls won four out of six matches Saturday in the pre-qualifying rounds of the 2013 ITA Men’s All-American Tennis Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
“If you’re a nationally ranked player in men’s college tennis, you’re at this event. It’s the by far the highest level of an event that you can play on a national scale this fall,” head coach Matt Hill said. “It was good to see the guys execute well and advance.”
Federico Sabogal didn’t drop a point in a 6-0, 6-0 win over Oral Roberts’ Jason Mechali. Everth Dzib kept things rolling with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Braxton Bates, another Oral Roberts opponent, while Oliver Pramming also won by a 6-3, 6-1 margin over TCU’s Will Stein. Paul Polarczyk had the longest match of the day and made it a successful one by rallying past Wichita State’s Ibian Hodgson, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
