TAMPA-- Freshman Paul Polarczyk and senior Federico Sabogal made it through Friday's qualifying round and will continue competition Saturday morning.

Polarczyk dropped his first set to Georgia State's Valentin Horvat before bouncing back to take the next two and advance with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win. Sabogal, too, dropped his first set to Joao Gaur of Florida State before take the following two sets and advancing with a 1-6, 7-6, 6-1 win.

Bulls sophomore Everth Dzib almost made it a perfect three-for-three, but dropped a second round qualifying match to FSU's Jake Albo 7-5, 7-6 (5). Head coach Matt Hill not was pleased with what he saw from his guys today.

"Overall the day went pretty well, we are still seeing some bad habbits but the guys are starting to self-correct," Hill said. "We're not where we want to be, but we're on the right track and in the fall, that's all that matters."
