Endler Named American Keeper of the Week

By TOM ZEBOLD

USF Senior Writer

TAMPAChristiane Endler and Demi Stokes have been rewarded for helping the Bulls stay unbeaten at home last weekend.

Endler has been named American Athletic Conference Keeper of the Week, while Stokes landed a spot on the AAC’s weekly honor roll following the Bulls 1-0-1 weekend at home. USF (8-4-4, 3-3-1) went 8-0-3 at Corbett Stadium this regular season.

Endler, a sophomore, made six saves in USF’s 3-1 win over Memphis on Oct. 18 and grabbed five more in Sunday’s 2-2 double-overtime tie with Rutgers. Stokes, a junior forward, scored in each game and added an assist against Rutgers to finish the week with five points.

The Bulls wrap up their regular season with a two-game road trip this week. USF plays at SMU 8 p.m. Thursday and takes on Houston 2 p.m. Sunday.  The first two rounds of the American Athletic Conference tournament take place at campus sites Nov. 1-3.
