Pramming, Kalyuzhnyy Make Main Draw at Pro Event

By TOM ZEBOLD

USF Senior Writer

TAMPA – USF’s Oliver Pramming and freshman Vadym Kalyuzhnyy both advanced to the main draw of the Bluewater Bay Pro Circuit Championships.

Each player made it through four rounds of qualifying at the USTA Pro Circuit event and booked their trips to the main draw in impressive fashion Monday in Niceville, Fla. Kalyuzhnyy cruised past Alabama’s Becker O’Shaughnessey, 6-3, 6-3, while Pramming outlasted Henrik Wiersholm, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.

“It’s obvious to us that in a tournament where there isn’t any on-court coaching our players are doing a great job of implementing what we have been hammering into them in training; the two most important aspects being mental toughness and intelligence on the court,” head coach Matt Hill said.

Head back to GoUSFBulls.com on Wednesday to find out how Pramming and Kalyuzhnyy fared in the first round of the main draw.
