PEORIA, Ill. – A 12-3 run to end the game gave the USF men’s basketball team a 61-57 win Saturday at Bradley.

Freshman Chris Perry scored a career-high 18 points and Victor Rudd recorded his ninth consecutive double-digit scoring game with 17 points as USF wrapped up its non-conference season with a 9-4 record. Corey Allen Jr. scored six points during the decisive run and posted all of his 11 points in the second half to help the Bulls improve to 3-0 on the road for the first time since the 1998-99 season.

USF held a 20-8 lead 9 minutes into the contest, but an 18-6 run by Bradley gave the Braves their first lead of the game, 28-26, with 3:10 to play until halftime. The run continued to 20-8 through the end of the half as Bradley led, 30-28.

The second half was a back-and-forth affair as nine of the game’s 10 lead changes occurred after the break. Bradley forced the eighth tie of the game with less than 2 minutes to play and Allen’s free throws with 1:16 to go put the Bulls ahead for the final time. Zach LeDay followed with a clutch steal and Allen capped off the scoring with a pair of free throws with 10 seconds remaining as USF snapped a two-game losing streak.

Walt Lemon Jr. led Bradley (5-8) with 17 points and Tyshon Pickett added 16 points in the Braves’ sixth straight loss.

The Bulls open up American Athletic Conference play Tuesday, Dec. 31 against No. 17 Memphis. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Sun Dome and fans can purchase tickets HERE.
