Waco, TX (April 2, 2014) – No. 25 USF faced its stiffest competition of the year Wednesday night and fell 4-0 to No. 7 Baylor at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.

The Bulls got off to a good start by winning at No. 1 doubles as the 33rd-ranked pair of Roberto Cid and Sasha Gozun defeated Patrick Pradella and Mate Zsiga, 8-5. 

Baylor bounced back to win at number two and three doubles to claim the doubles point.  USF’s duo of Vadym Kalyuzhnyy and Finn Meinecke battled to an 8-7 (7-5) loss at third doubles which nearly gave the Bulls the doubles point.

In singles play, No. 7 Julian Lenz bested Oliver Pramming 6-3, 6-4 in the second spot.  The Bears also picked up wins at No. 4 and No. 5 to claim the 4-0 victory.

USF has a day off before it takes on No. 39 Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.  The match is set to get underway at 6:00 p.m. eastern time.
