USF To Take On FSU in NCAA Opening Round

TAMPA (April 29, 2014) – The NCAA announced their field of 64 for the Men’s Tennis Championship and USF will begin its road to Athens with a trip to Gainesville to take on Florida State Saturday, May 10. The match is set to begin at 9:00 a.m.
USF earned an automatic berth to the championship field by winning the inaugural American Athletic Conference on April 20 by defeating Memphis 4-3 in the title match. The Bulls fell behind 1-0 after doubles before rallying to win four of six singles matches.
The matchup with FSU will be a rematch as the two sides met earlier this season with the Seminoles picking up a 4-3 victory on March 1. Since that contest, USF has gone 13-3 and sit at 18-6 on the year. The winner of the match will take on the winner of Florida and St. John’s.
