TAMPA, JUNE 16, 2014 – Take a look ahead at the week in USF Athletics and catch up on last week’s action:
Track and Field
Last Week: Courtney Anderson and Matthew O’Neal repeated as All-Americans at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on June 14 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. O’Neal (Jackson, Miss) placed fourth in the men’s triple jump with a school record distance of 53-feet-2.5 (16.22m). Anderson (Cape Coral, Fla.) placed eighth in the women’s high jump with a season best of 6-0 (1.83m).
Need to Know: USF has had at least one outdoor All-American in six of the past seven years.

This Week: USF’s summer camp series continues with the Team Padded Camp and the One Day Camp. The Team Padded Camp for high school teams takes place Monday through Thursday on campus. The One Day Camp for high school students is set for Saturday on campus.

This Week: Ace Jimmy Herget will compete for a roster spot on the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team starting Thursday. The final 24-man roster will be announced on Sunday, June 29.
Last Week: Herget got the start on opening day for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League on June 12 and the right-hander earned a victory after striking out five in six innings. The Tampa native scattered six hits and allowed two runs in the Braves’ first opening day win in seven years.
